Debit Notes

To complement our Returns to Supplier module, we have added the facility to record Debit Notes within the Purchase Ledger.

You can enter full narrative as to the reason, and then print the Debit Note. You can optionally fax or e-mail it to the supplier.

The Debit Note reduces the amount payable on the related invoice, and when the Credit Note is posted, you can match the credit to the debit and clear them off.

Debit Notes are also available within the Sales Ledger, and can be raised on-the-fly whilst posting cash.

The on-the-fly facility saves you from having to cancel, if you are in the middle of allocating a large number of transactions and you come across an unexpected Debit Note within the Remittance Advice.
